Assigning Jobs to a Schedule

There are two ways of assigning Jobs to a schedule in the TimeForce II system. Jobs can be scheduled individually by employee, or can be assigned to the templates that are used to create schedules.

Employee Schedule

This method of scheduling allows you to assign Job Tracking information to your employees on an individual basis.

  1. Click on the "Schedule" tab, and then on the "Schedule Employees" link located in the row of links directly below the row of main program navigation tabs.
  2. Ensure that "Employee" is selected in the Assign Employees By field.
  3. From the Effective Date field, enter the date on which you would like this schedule to go into effect. Click on the icon_calendar.jpg icon to select the date from a calendar.
  4. If you would like to filter the list of displayed employees by the department that they are assigned to, make the desired selection from the Department field.
  5. The Employee section of the screen lists your employees. Select the appropriate Schedule Template and Departments if desired.
  6. The Job and Task fields allow you to include Job Tracking information with the schedule. For each employee, select the Job and Task that you would like to schedule them to work.

Once you have entered the desired schedule information, click on the [ASSIGN EMPLOYEES] icon.

Template Schedule

This method of scheduling allows you to assign Job Tracking information to the Schedule Templates in the system. Each employee assigned to the template will subsequently be assigned to the specified Jobs and Tasks.

  1. Click on the "Schedule" tab, and then on the "Schedule Employees" link located in the row of links directly below the row of main program navigation tabs.
  2. Ensure that "Schedule Template" is selected in the Assign Employees By field.
  3. Select the desired Schedule Template from the drop-down menu. Click on the [CREATE NEW TEMPLATE] icon to create a new template.
  4. From the Effective Date field, enter the date on which you would like this schedule to go into effect. Click on the icon_calendar.jpg icon to select the date from a calendar.
  5. If you would like to assign the schedule to a specific department level, make the desired selection from the Department menu.
  6. Select the Job and Task that you would like to assign to this template from the appropriate menus.
  7. By default, all employees will be used. Click on the icon_black_down.jpg icon to select the employees to be included.
  8. Click on the icon_black_down.jpg icon next to the Schedule Template Detail header to view template details.

Once you have entered the desired schedule information, click on the [ASSIGN EMPLOYEES] icon.
