Assigning
a Default Department
Employees can be assigned to a Default Department,
allowing you to track hours and earnings on a
departmental basis.
When using a compatible model of time clock,
employees can specify what department they are
punching for by assigning the punch a Department
Number.
A Default Department can be assigned on a per-employee
basis, or to multiple employees at a time.
Employee Position and Salary
Departments are assigned to employees on an
individual basis from the "Position and Salary"
section of the main "Employee" tab.

Policy Groups
Policy Groups allow you to create a group of
employees that share a common assignment of company
policies (including Default Department). This
prevents you from having to make the same assignments
on a per-employee basis.
