Creating
Interval Rounding Policies
From the main "Admin" tab, click on
the "Rounding Policies" link located
under the Policies
section of the screen.
The screen is separated into Range
Rounding Policies, Interval
Rounding Policies, and Shift
Rounding Policies. Each existing policy
that you have created is listed in the appropriate
section. To create a new policy, click on the
[ADD] icon at the bottom of the Interval
Rounding Policies section of the screen.
- Enter a Name
for this rounding policy as you would like
it to appear in the program.
- The Interval
is the number of minutes by which your employees
punches will be rounded. Select the desired
setting from the drop-down menu.
- The Median
is only used with a punch type of "Nearest,"
and determines whether the punch is rounded
up or down.
Example:
The interval is set to 15 minutes. The method
is "Nearest." The median is set
to 7. If an employee punches at 8:06, the
punch will be rounded down to 8:00. If the
employee were to punch at 8:08 the punch would
be rounded up to 8:15, based on the median
setting.
- Select "Up," "Down"
or "Nearest" from the Method
drop-down menu.
- The Punch
Type allows you to select which punches
on employee time cards are rounded.
Click on the [SAVE] icon to save the rounding
policy.
