The
following types of pay period are available for
use with the system. The most commonly used types
are "Weekly," "Bi-Weekly"
and "Semi-Monthly."

A
"Weekly" pay period pays employees
once per week. A starting date for the
weekly period must be specified. The system
automatically updates this date at the

A
"Bi-Weekly" pay period pays
employees once every other week. The period
starting date must be specified, and will
automatically update as a day of the week
(as in Monday, Thursday, etc.). |

Employees
assigned to a "Semi-Monthly"
pay period are paid twice a month. Two
period starting dates must be specified
as week dates (as in the 1st and 15th
of every month). |

A
"Monthly" pay period pays employees
once per month. A monthly period starting
date must be specified. |

Fixed Length |
This
period type allows you to specify your
pay periods not by any calendar date,
but by a number of days per period. |
Variable |
Custom |
A
"Custom" pay period allows you
to manually specify a beginning and ending
date for the period. This range can be
as long or short as you desire. However,
"Custom" periods do not automatically
update upon their expiration. All future
periods must be entered into the system. |
